As an institution of higher education that prioritizes and champion the fundamental exposition that education promotes active participants in the transformation of societies, Daaru Salaam University (DSU) in a bid to improve and advance the scope and promote quality of its educational services has established a historic Academic and scientific collaboration with the prestigious Kigali Independent University (ULK) in Rwanda.
As a way to achieve the university’s long term vision to extend access to higher education which conform to highest international standards, team of DSU delegates Dr Osman Mohamed Hassan Founder and chairman of the university Board and Mr Abdulahi Abdisalam Dhiblawe Daaru Salaam University Public Relations Directorate visited Kigali Independent University and met the founder and president of Kigali Independent University ULK. , DSU delegates were welcomed and received highly by the academic community of ULK including the founder and President of ULK Professor, Dr Rwigamba Balinda, Vice Chancellor Dr Sekibiba Ezechiel, Dr Daniel Balinda and the Dean of social studies Dr Jean Bosco among other academic staff. During our academic discussion they have bestowed us wiliness, commitment and cooperation. The signed partnership package between Kigali Independent University and Daaru Salaam University include joint facilitation of postgraduate programs and scientific research, exchange of collegial and scholastic materials such as online library. Exchange of staff and students, and also joint scientific and journal books.
During our academic tour, we visited ULK Kigali main campus and we have satisfied our eyes with the beautiful, historic art and infrastructure of the university, the specious lecture halls, the state of the art facility, it’s indeed an institution designed to capture, stimulate, craft and cultivate human mind. We have also visited Gizenyi campus which is located at the shore of Lake Kivu near the Border of Congo, about three hour drive away from the Rwandan capital city Kigali.
With our new and ambitious partnership with Kigali Independent University academic collaboration we can we can expand our programs and reach new academic heights in horn of Africa.
Finally we praise the University for having considered our strategic academic partnership collaboration in order to educate, shape and create responsible and productive society of horn of Africa.
